The platform
How is TutorDash different from TutorCruncher, TutorBird or Teachworks?

Like other tutoring platforms, TutorDash does the admin: billing, insights, payroll and CRM. But TutorDash is also a platform for teaching. The tutor/student layer generates real operational insight, demonstrates value to parents, and saves tutors' time — which is what retention is actually made of.

Is TutorDash only for SAT and ACT?

It's built for the digital SAT and ACT first, so the skill taxonomy, practice tests and score tracking work out of the box. The platform itself is curriculum-agnostic — bring your own skill mapping for any subject, and reach out if you'd like help setting one up.

Do students need to install anything?

Nothing. Students open a link in the browser — worksheets, practice tests and the whiteboard all run in-app, and every lesson gets a Google Meet link on your calendar automatically.

Can I bring my existing worksheet library?

Yes. Send us your PDFs and we'll digitise and tag them for you — answer keys import automatically, and larger libraries can be brought over in bulk during onboarding. Reach out about your library and we'll set it up together.

Transcription & reports
How accurate are the automatic lesson reports?

The transcript is verbatim. The report is drafted from it alongside the skill-tracking data and previous reports, and you review and edit before anything sends. You can also tune the drafting prompts to your own style. TutorDash never sends a generated report without your explicit sign-off.

Do I have to record my lessons?

No. Recording is optional and per-lesson. Without it you still get worksheets, skill tracking, homework visibility and manual reports — you just write the narrative yourself.

Is student and parent data safe?

TutorDash is GDPR-aligned. Recordings and transcripts are encrypted, parental consent is required before a minor's lesson is transcribed, and agencies, parents or students can request the export or permanent deletion of their data at any time.

Billing & plans
What happens when my 30-day trial ends?

You pick a plan and add payment details. Nothing is charged during the trial, no card is taken up front, and your data stays put whichever plan you choose.

What counts as an "active student"?

Active is a status you control on each student's profile — set it when they start, clear it when they pause. Seats are counted daily, synced to your subscription automatically, and prorated by Stripe. Your first five active students are always included; inactive and archived students never count.

Is the 2.5% payment fee on top of Stripe's fee?

No — 2.5% is all-in. It covers Stripe processing and the platform. You can also bill outside TutorDash and pay no payment fee at all.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, up or down at any time. Changes are pro-rated — upgrade mid-month and you only pay the difference for the days remaining.
