Like other platforms, TutorDash does admin: CRM, billing, and payroll. But TutorDash is also a platform for teaching. The tutor/student layer generates real operational insight, value to parents, and saves tutors' time, allowing you to take on more students and retain more loyal clients.

It was originally built for the SAT and ACT, so skill taxonomy, practice tests and score tracking for those tests are ready to go. All functionality is fundamentally curriculum-agnostic, however, so you can input your own skill mapping and build worksheets for any subject and it will function perfectly. Built-in support and resources for a wider range of subjects will come soon.

Nope. Everything works in the browser: worksheets, practice tests, transcripts, and whiteboard all run in-app. Every lesson gets a Google Meet link and syncs with your calendar automatically.

Two ways. By hand: open the worksheet builder, add each question, mark the correct answer, and tag it to a skill. Or with AI: in the builder, choose 'Import from JSON' and click 'Copy LLM prompt'. Paste that prompt into your own AI tool (Claude works best, ChatGPT also works), add your source material below it, and paste the JSON it returns back into the builder. Validate, then create. Each run converts one worksheet. For a large library, send it to us and we will bring it over for you.

The transcripts are shockingly accurate and continuously improving. The report is drafted from the transcript as well as skill-tracking data and prior reports. You review and edit both the transcript and the report itself before anything sends. You can also change the prompts the AI uses to generate reports to match your own style.

No. Transcribing is optional and must be manually triggered per-lesson. Without it you still get worksheets, skill tracking, homework visibility and automatic reports that will be generated from your notes instead of the transcript.

TutorDash is GDPR-compliant. Recordings and transcripts are encrypted, parental consent is required before lesson transcription for minors, and agencies, parents, and students can request the export or permanent deletion of their data at any time.

You pick a plan and add payment details. Nothing is charged during the trial, no card is taken up front, and your data stays put whichever plan you choose.

Students can be made active or inactive manually on each student's profile. Inactive students can no longer log in. Every plan includes 5 active students at no extra cost; past that you pay your plan's per-student rate for each additional active student. Active students are counted daily and synced to your subscription automatically. Mid-month changes are prorated by Stripe, so a student made active on the last day of the month is charged for one day, not the whole month. Inactive and archived students are not counted towards student totals.

Each tutor, student and agency is linked by 'engagements'. Tutors can have freelance students and work with students from multiple agencies. All materials are automatically scoped, so a tutor can only share agency materials with agency-affiliated students. If a tutor has freelance students, they must pay their own fee for their own students. If an agency is on a Pro plan but the tutor freelances on a Core plan, AI and transcription are only available for lessons with agency students. All happens automatically, in the background. Siblings can be grouped under one family with a single combined total, and you can send the whole family's invoices in one action on the billing cadence you choose: after each lesson, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. This cuts invoice clutter for parents and families with more than one child. Single billing across multiple tutors coming soon.

No. 2.5% is all-in: it covers Stripe processing plus a small platform processing fee. If you bill lessons completed on TutorDash independently instead, a 1% fee is added to your monthly bill.

Yes, up or down at any time. Changes are pro-rated: upgrade mid-month and you only pay the difference for the days remaining.
